So you might be forgiven for thinking that your business blog is all about your business. But it's not.

1. Frequent, relevant content uploaded to your sites sits favourably with the SEO gods. Blogs are an easy way of maximising this feature.
2. It’s a great way to build a great relationship with your clients.
The aim of a business blog is to drive clients to an action within your business. It’s a way to connect with clients and pass on information to take an action. A blog can give value so that your client can take an action or know where to go when they’re ready to take action.

1. Solve a problem
In business blogs you attract readers because you’re blogging about what interests them – NOT YOU. Posting blogs on topics that interests your clients are one way to help build your relationship with them.
Through blogs your clients get to know you, and accept you as a trusted and credible source. And you can explain to your client why they may benefit from your product or service that solves their problem.
2. Have a headline that shouts to the right reader
Getting the headline right will encourage your reader to pay attention and learn more. You may have a really clever title, but unless it's really clear to the reader what they're going to be reading about then the likelihood is that they won't read on.
Make sure the title relates to their problem that you're writing about in the blog.
The purpose is to have them click on to read more, or read further down the page.
3. Encourage an action
The purpose of your business blog is to drive your client to an action that will benefit them and your business.
It may be encouraging them to sign up for a newsletter, or it may be telling them to check out a product or service that leads on from the blog you've just written them.
Having a 'call to action' should be part of every blog you write.
