Three ways to connect with your tribe and boost sales in the right way.
Marketing is just how you engage with your tribe.
Whenever you engage with your tribe you’re marketing to them. You’re marketing your trust, ability to lead the tribe, knowledge and ideas. Which ideally results in a sale meaning you can keep helping people through your business.
Keeping the common goals, ideas, dreams and needs of your tribe front and centre of all you do means you can be confident that all your marketing will connect with them. Rather than be fake, salesy bleugh marketing that I’m sure we’ve all cringed at.
Okay, so we might want to be all non-salesy and “I just wanna help people” but.
The bottom line is that if you don’t bring in money you can’t sustain your health and wellness business. And that means you can’t keep providing your great services and products that DO help people. Get it?
So I’m going to be right up front now and get all hard-core marketing. Bums on seats. Money in pocket. That kind of marketing.
That doesn’t mean you’re manipulating people or getting their money in fake ways.
What it means is that you’re communicating with people who you can help. That’s why you’ve gathered them as your tribe.
Engaging your tribe through marketing that connects with them means you’re getting the marketing RIGHT for them. And not annoying them with inappropriate marketing.
Keeping your tribe and their needs front and centre of everything you do means if you follow what their needs are you’ll get the connection right.
So how do you do that?
Products and services
If you’re offering products and services that aren’t a priority for your tribe, swap them with something that is.
Think of your tribes needs, wants and desires. And think of the steps that they walk to get to these goals. Do your products and services mirror this?

This is a big one I get asked about. Email is still the best way to connect with people. You’re not relying on social media algorithms or SEO. You’re relying on the individual to open your email. If you’ve identified your tribe correctly and send emails that engage them and are considered valuable to them, then you’ve got a great way to connect with people. Be the email list they don’t even think about going Marie Kondo on!
Think about how often your tribe wants to hear from you. Not sure? Ask them!
Make sure that what you email IS VALUE for them. Don’t just churn out stuff you think they want. Make sure it’s information about what is important to them. Not sure? Ask them!
Be up front about what is in your emails. Tell them what you give, when you give it. Those who sign up will really want to be in your tribe. Invested.
Social media marketing
Again, if you’re keeping your tribes needs front and centre of everything you do, you’ll be focused on how your products and services meet those needs.
Social media marketing, like ads, posts and groups means you’ve got another way to draw people into your tribe.
Being specific and consistent with your messaging (images, ideas, outcomes) means you’ll draw people into your tribe who really can benefit from your help.
“The secret of leadership is simple: Do what you believe in. Paint a picture of the future. Go there.
Whenever you do something to connect with your tribe (market to them) you’re painting picture of the future.
Just make sure your tribe is front and centre of the picture not you.
